Patrick Clark is a multi-instrumentalist with a specialty in violin and fiddle. Patrick is currently the Director of Orchestras at BASIS Phoenix. BASIS Phoenix was recently ranked as the most challenging high school in the country according to The Washington Post.
Patrick holds a Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance from Northern Arizona University with a secondary focus in Suzuki Pedagogy, which his certified in through Book 4. Patrick is also the author of two method books published and distributed by Hal Leonard. “Fiddling, The Basics and Beyond,” and “Violin Fast Track.”
In 2006 Patrick moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a touring career. He was fortunate to spend three and a half years touring with Grammy Winning Country Artist, Darius Rucker. He also toured and performed with Hunter Hayes, Kelly Clarkson, Josh Gracin, Big and Rich, Sara Evans, Roy Clark, Mark Chesnutt, Mark Wills, Shannon Brown, Pam Tillis, Crystal Gayle, Brenda Lee, James Otto, Lee Brice, Chuck Wicks, Collin Raye and many more.
His television appearances include; The Oprah Winfrey Show, David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Ellen, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The Jimmy Kimmell Show, Jimmy Fallon, Wendy Williams, Bonnie Hunt, The View, Dancing With The Stars, The ACM Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, The CMA Awards, and The CMT Awards.
In addition to his country career, Patrick has maintained a presence in the classical world. He performs as a substitute violinist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has also performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. He was also a featured soloist with both orchestras and arranged pieces played by TSO.
Patrick is a National Clinician for Eastman Music Company and has presented at the UMEA, OMEA, and ASTA Conventions. He has taught at Tennessee State University, Rainbow Dreams Academy, Doral Academy, and now BASIS Phoenix.
